WTF?

What's going on? Why would someone do this? Not sure if you guys have heard about the little dog named Canela (Cinnamon in Spanish). She was shot by a police officer in Juarez Mexico just because she barked at him. From the picture I saw she looked to be no more than about 15 lbs or around 7 kilograms. Apparently this cop had stopped to grab a bite to eat with his partner when Canela came up to him and started barking. The cop took out his gun and shot little Canela with a .45 caliber handgun. This cop then picked up the bullet casing and he and his partner left the scene. Canela died but not right away. She went through 7 hours of hell. There were plenty of witnesses and they said the dog slumped over when she was shot and became very confused. There is video footage taken of the dog right after being shot but I did not want to see it. The picture was enough.

As far as I know at the time of this posting the police officer that did this is still on duty and has not been suspended. It is being looked into. WTF?

  1. Maybe the police officer reacted from his instincts? It's still horrible though.

  7. Police officers on the border area are under a lot of stress, imagine 20 hours routines, wearing heavy equip, completly covered in black clothes and mask under the sun at 140ºF with the possibility of being killed (or their families) by a drug gang at any moment. I'm not saying that justifies them, but yeah you probably get the point.

  8. @Al3xaG sorry but that is no excuse. If they can't take the heat, the stress or are worried the cartel will get them then they need to quit. No excuse for this. So no I don't get the point.

  12. I hope he gets shot in the face!! ... @Al3xaG let's say you were a cop and you were under that stress you're talking about, would you also kill a dog just because it barked at you? I don't get your point.

  13. @ready and drums

In short words, this kind of stress can lead them to some dangerous mental states, lets say some kind of shock, where even a cute doggie can look like a menace or make it look exponentially more annoying. That stress levels are probably something you will never experience, so it may look difficult to believe or imagine.

However as I said, that doesn't justifies them, but in their mind they -probably- didn't see any other solution.

Also there is a possibility they were just assholes and did it on porpuse, but we can't really know since we don't have enough information.

  17. Wow thats crazy, then again Mexico seems to be a pretty crazy place with all the Cartel stuff going on! No offence to anyone from Mexico, but I just couldn't live there! Northern Ireland was bad enough!

  19. @Al3xaG well it looks like nobody agrees with you. Maybe all these people have probably never experienced that type of stress as you say. lol. I think you were just trying to defend these guys because since you live with all that stress in Mexico...you can understand how this can happen. Again, I must point out that there in NO excuse. It's not just a dog either. It had a life and only did what do dogs do...they bark.

By the way...did you know that the U.S. is currently involved in two wars and maybe those guys fighting it have been in much more stressful circumstances than this Juarez cop. Your country is not the only going through shit. Get over yourself.

  20. Cops are a-holes, no surprises here.

You simply have failed to understand what I'm saying. You say its no excuse, I said twice that it didn't justify them. I simply pointed out a reason (not an excuse) of why it -might- have happened, in no moment I tried to defend the cops, I simply feel pity for them.

By the way, your so called wars is so different that is silly to compare, but I'm not going into detail because it would be pointless since you are the one who needs to get over yourself and realize not every comment is an attack.

  23. They definitely need to fire that guy, he's NOT representing law and order at all.
